What is Chadence?
Chadence is a private legacy platform for preserving real voices, videos, photographs, stories, wisdom, wishes, and messages, then entrusting them to the people the owner chooses.
Can I leave future voice or video messages for loved ones?
Yes. Chadence lets members preserve written, voice, or video messages for meaningful future dates and for loved ones to receive after the member is gone.
Is Chadence only for relatives or a traditional family?
No. Chadence is for anyone close to you whom you choose: relatives, partners, friends, chosen family, coworkers, mentors, caregivers, neighbors, teammates, or another important person. Chadence is not a genealogy, ancestry, or historical-record research service.
What is This Is Me?
This Is Me is where a member shares who they are in their own words—their life, personality, values, favorite things, memories, and the moments that shaped them. Members can begin with one part of their story and add more whenever they are ready.
Does Chadence support voice, video, photographs, documents, and writing?
Yes. Signed-in members can preserve writing and upload supported private photo, audio, video, and document files, with storage limits depending on the membership.
How can This Is Me be preserved?
This Is Me is written in Token and Heritage, written or audio in Keepsake, and written, audio, or video in Heirloom. Eligible members may also purchase the available one-time format add-ons.
What is Memory Walk?
A cinematic, dreamlike path through a person’s real media. AI may help select, arrange, caption, and transition genuine materials; it should not invent events or falsely imitate what the person never said.
How do Digital Keys work?
The owner generates a private key, assigns it to a trusted person, and records what that person may receive. The key should be stored privately in a safe, locked document box, or sealed estate papers. Chadence may require identity and release-condition verification before protected content is released.
Is an audio will legally binding?
Not automatically. Audio or video may preserve wishes and explanations, but it is generally not a replacement for a properly executed will. Legal rules differ by location, so users should work with a qualified estate-planning professional.
Can Chadence guarantee memories will last forever?
No technology can honestly guarantee forever. Chadence’s goal is to reduce loss through encryption, multiple backups, recovery controls, file-format maintenance, trusted successors, and exports so one failure does not erase a legacy.
Will Chadence sell personal information or show ads?
No. Chadence does not sell personal memories or private data and does not use private legacy content for advertising. Current practices and service-provider categories are described in the Privacy Policy.
How does Chadence protect private content?
Member records are tied to the signed-in owner. Private files use private object storage, enter quarantine, and must pass malware scanning before activation. Members can export or delete account records and create a separate secure recovery backup. No service can guarantee permanent preservation, so keep independent copies of irreplaceable originals.
What membership plans are available?
Token is free and includes written This Is Me, one loved one, one Written Keepsake, and 500 MB of protected storage. Heritage is $49 one time and includes four loved ones, three Written Keepsakes, one My Wish, Memory Walk, three written Between Us answers, My Vault, My Digital Keys, and 10 GB. Keepsake is $99 one time and adds audio, more people and entries, Words I Couldn’t Say, Days That You Need Me, and 25 GB. Heirloom is $159 one time and includes every Chadence feature, all supported formats, 10 loved ones, unlimited entries within 50 GB of storage, and all plan features. Stripe checkout shows the exact current total before payment.
Where do members open their features?
The dashboard shows the features included in the signed-in member’s plan and purchased add-ons. Members open This Is Me, My Loved Ones, Written Keepsakes, Memory Walk, My Wishes, Words I Couldn’t Say, Between Us, Days That You Need Me, My Vault, and My Digital Keys from their available dashboard links.
Can I purchase only one special feature?
Available one-time add-ons include This Is Me audio or video formats, Days That You Need Me, Words I Couldn’t Say, Memory Walk, Between Us formats, My Vault with My Digital Keys, additional loved ones, and additional storage. Add-ons require a Chadence account, apply only to the feature or allowance shown at checkout, and are not charged again when already included in the selected plan.
What if I want to include more loved ones?
An optional $19 one-time add-on adds five more loved ones to the member’s plan allowance. The checkout shows the exact item and total before payment.
Can I cancel later?
Chadence memberships and feature add-ons are one-time purchases and do not renew. See the Refund & Cancellation Policy for details.
Who created Chadence?
Santia Welsh created Chadence in loving memory of her husband, Chad, after losing him in 2019 and later losing irreplaceable recordings, photographs, and videos when a social-media profile disappeared.
Who owns Chadence and its original materials?
Chadence™ and its original product concepts, documented features, branding, artwork, written materials, screen designs, product documents, and software code were created by and are claimed as the property of Santia Welsh. The ™ symbol identifies Chadence as her brand while formal trademark options are evaluated. Legal protection varies by the type of material and applicable law.
